To make your own Nori Komi Furikake, you will need:

• 2 sheets of nori seaweed

• 2 tablespoons of sugar

• 2 tablespoons of sake

• ½ teaspoon of salt

• 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds

• 2 tablespoons of bonito flakes


1. Begin by cutting the nori seaweed sheets into thin strips.

2. In a small bowl, mix the sugar, sake, and salt together until the sugar is dissolved.

3. Add the seaweed strips to the mixture and stir until all the strips are coated.

4. Spread the seaweed strips onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.

5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the sesame seeds and bonito flakes over the nori.

6. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the sesame seeds and bonito flakes are lightly toasted.

7. Allow the nori to cool before transferring it to an airtight container.
