Mouthwatering furikake from Kyoto made from sesame seeds, garlic and Kyoto's specialty, Kujo onions that have have been soaked in ra-yu (Japanese chili-oil). The result is an umami-rich, flavorful seasoning that you'll want to put on everything. This stuff is addictive, so you might be better off buying more than one pack! 

What we love about it:

  • Ingredients: Sesame, pepper, garlic, salt, vegetable oil, sugar, Kujo green onion, soy sauce, starch, seasonings (amino acids etc), caramel color, sweetener (licorice). (NOTE: contains wheat and soy).
  • Store in a cool, dark place
  • 80grams
  • Made in Japan.

Really fantastic furikake, great on a lot of different dishes! It really is addictive, and I am glad I bought several bags. The owner reached out to me personally and communicated when there was a delay, which I greatly appreciated. The bags are quite a bit smaller than what I expected to receive for the price, but the weight is in the description. My only qualm is that I don’t have more! I would love a bigger bag, if it were available.

The BEST furikake

I first tried this furikake in Kyoto on a whim when an elderly Japanese woman practically forced me to try the samples. However, I’ll never regret that decision as this is hands down the most flavorful and delicious furikake I’ve experienced. It’s great on a variety of dishes, but my personal favorite is making onigiri with this furikake. I would recommend buying more than one pack as you’ll definitely run out quickly once you’ve sampled some. It is VERY hard to find this particular furikake outside of Japan, and I was delighted to find Furikake.co carrying it. Special thanks to John for the handwritten note included with my order. Great customer service and speedy delivery. Give this furikake a try. You won’t regret it!
